Global COVID tally exceeds 493 million

The number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 493.6 million worldwide, Report informs with reference to Johns Hopkins University.
Since early 2020, over 6.18 million people have died from COVID-related health complications.
The United States, India and Brazil rank first, second and third, respectively, regarding the total number of registered cases.
To date, the US has recorded over 81.8 million cases of coronavirus infection and over 1.008 million COVID-related deaths.
India ranks second with over 43.03 million cases of infection and over 521,000 deaths.
Brazil’s tally exceeds 30.04 million, and as of April 6, over 660,700 people have died of the viral disease in the South American country.
