World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day (December 31) was celebrated in Paris.

Report informs that the event, held at the Cultural Center of the Azerbaijani Embassy in France to mark Solidarity Day and New Year, was attended by Azerbaijan's Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva, Permanent Representative to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, Azerbaijani compatriots living in various French cities, and others.

Ambassador Abdullayeva noted that this year has been successful for Azerbaijan. Among the achievements, she particularly highlighted the country's high-level hosting of the global event COP29.

Abdullayeva emphasized that despite its location in a complex geographical region, Azerbaijan is today a leading state in the region, pursuing successful, stable, and independent policies, both in terms of economic and demographic development. The diplomat stated that this succes is the result of the state's stable independent policy.

She also touched upon French-Azerbaijani relations, expressing regret about the lack of political dialogue between the two states in 2024, and pointing out that Azerbaijan was not responsible for this situation. Speaking about numerous high-level cultural events held in 2024, the ambassador thanked diaspora representatives and organization leaders who closely participated in organizing these events and made great efforts to promote Azerbaijan's values in France.

The artistic part of the event featured a concert by the Simurg mugham ensemble.
