The next destination of the Turkish Travelers' Club Association - international travelers, who are visiting Azerbaijan, was the Aghali village of the Zangilan district.
According to Report's correspondent sent to East Zangazur, the travelers got acquainted with the revived life in the village of Aghali, which was liberated from occupation.
On the third day of their visit, the guests who came to Aghali village were informed about the Zangilan district. It was reported that along with the city center, 5 settlements and 79 villages of Zangilan were completely destroyed during the 27-year occupation. The population of the district was forcibly displaced from their homeland. Residences and historical, cultural, and religious monuments were demolished. Also, Zangilan was exposed to ecological terror during the Armenian occupation, and its flora and fauna were destroyed. More than 300-year-old oak and sycamore trees, hectares of walnut trees, and other greenery were cut down.
It was noted that during the 44-day Patriotic War, Zangilan was liberated from the Armenian occupation and came under the control of its real owners: "Zangilan, which was under the enemy's captivity for 27 years, has already started to flourish for two years."
Over the past year, Karabakh and East Zangazur have been visited by international travelers, uniting the world business and tourist elite. Four group trips were organized to Karabakh and East Zangazur at the level of founders, presidents, and prominent members of international travel networks - ETIC (Extreme Traveler International Congress), MTP (Most Traveled People), TCC (Travelers' Century Club), Nomadmania.
As a result of these visits, which are currently the fifth in number, about 200 international travelers from about 30 countries got to know the atrocities, destruction, and large-scale restoration and construction works in the liberated areas. This is of special importance from the point of view of showing the brutality Azerbaijan has suffered over the years to the world community through the eyes of international travelers.
This time, the delegation is headed by the president of the Turkish Travelers' Club Association, Salman Arinc, who is considered one of the 50 main international travelers in the world according to the global rating of Nomadmania.
