Party for Liberation of Martinique: French colonialism must be eradicated

Colonialism must be completely eradicated throughout the world, representative of the Party for the Liberation of Martinique, Luc Carole, said at the event “Towards the complete elimination of colonialism,” organized in Baku by the Center for Analysis of International Relations within the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, Report informs.

He noted that the colonial policy of France led to genocide, the deportation of thousands of people, as well as to slavery: “Prior to this, the Africans who arrived in the country were not slaves, but France made them so.”

He said that France even used chemicals in its colonies, which led to a huge increase in diseases, in particular cancer. “The percentage of oncological diseases is very high, but France doesn’t want to invoke its guilt, but declares that this is only their genetics.”

Luc Carole emphasized that today the movement of liberation from the colonial policy of France is growing.

“I look forward to the Non-Aligned Movement conveying our words to the whole world, so that we can completely get rid of colonialism,” he said, thanking Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for speaking at the opening of the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement on July 5.
