"In recent days, we are rightfully deeply concerned about the increase in cases of aggressive and degrading expressions against Azerbaijanis, especially on Armenian media outlets, social media in particular," Azerbaijan's Human Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Sabina Aliyeva said on the social network X, according to Report.
"We believe that, especially in the current sensitive period where peace talks are crucial, such negative actions, which promote hostility by some people of Armenian origin, serve disruptive purposes and are unacceptable. Ethnic-based hate speech calls, which are a manifestation of Azerbaijaniphobia policy hinder not only the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia but also the overall sustainable peace and security in the region," the post reads.
