Moratinos: Peace is backbone of UN Charter

Peace is the backbone of the UN Charter, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the High Representative for the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations said at the XI Global Baku Forum.

According to Report, Moraticos said discrimination, hostility, racism have no end, confrontation, clashes and divisions continue and multiculturalism is in a fragmented state. He stressed the need to tackle these issues for the sake of the common interests of East and West.

People must take joint steps when it comes to fundamental human rights, said Moratinos.
