Minister: Illegal exploitation of Azerbaijan's natural deposits must be stopped

Illegal exploitation of natural deposits in Azerbaijani territory must be stopped, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev said during the annual high-level strategic consultations between the government of Azerbaijan and the UN in Aghdam.

The minister touched upon the problem of illegal exploitation of minerals in the territory of Azerbaijan:

"We demand that all the necessary conditions be created for our specialists to monitor the current state of the environment in the areas of extraction of natural resources. Illegal exploitation of natural resources in the territory of Azerbaijan must be stopped."
