Armenia must resolve its issues directly with neighboring countries, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said answering Report's question at a press conference in Moscow.
"When countries far from our territories, traditions, and understanding of history in its non-colonial dimension declare that the EU mission [in Armenia] will ensure 'security' in the Syunik region, I don't quite understand this. Therefore, we actively supported President Aliyev's [Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev's] initiative to create a '3+3' mechanism," Lavrov said.
He noted that the signing and coordination of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a sovereign decision of the two countries.
