Jeyhun Bayramov receives State Secretary of Moldovan MFA

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received State Secretary of Moldova's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergiu Mihov, Report informs, citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, political, economic, trade, energy, humanitarian aspects of Azerbaijan-Moldova cooperation, prospects for the development of relations, as well as regional and international issues were discussed.

Jeyhun Bayramov, who recalled with pleasure his meeting with Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi during the Munich Security Conference, noted the importance of such contacts and the political consultation mechanism in the development of bilateral as well as multilateral cooperation.

Also, during today's meeting the importance of expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation was noted, and the significance of utilizing development prospects for partnership in the field of energy security was especially emphasized.

The importance of the role of the joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova was highlighted while discussing cooperation opportunities in the fields of economy, trade, and investments.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.

On the same day, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Moldova. The political consultations were led by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from the Azerbaijani side and State Secretary Sergiu Mihov from the Moldovan side.
