Jean-Victor Castor: French Guiana wants to tell truth about consequences of France’s colonial policy

French Guiana actively participates in events such as the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement to bring the truth to the world about the consequences of France’s colonial policy, Jean-Victor Castor, member of the National Assembly from French Guiana, who takes part in the Ministerial Meeting of the NAM Coordinating Bureau in Baku, told Report.

He noted that for many years France has been wasting all the natural resources of French Guiana.

“French Guiana is fighting France, and have not been able to succeed so far. It tried to appeal to the world community, but France must recognize the country, he added.

Until 1946, French Guiana was a separate colony, he said, noting that after 1946, the French Guiana has been declared an overseas department of France.
