Javid Valiyev: All projects initiated by Azerbaijan contribute to regional development

All projects that Azerbaijan either initiated and or participated in are aimed at regional development, said Javid Valiyev, head of a department at Azerbaijan's Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), Report informs.

Valiyevmade the remark during his speech the event titled "Bilateral relations between Italy, the EU, and Azerbaijan: Energy security and foreign policy," held at the Italian Senate.

Valiyev noted that after the opening of the Zangazur Corridor, Azerbaijan's transportation opportunities along the Middle Corridor will increase: "This will create new opportunities for all states of the region."

The official also listed the positive developments in the logistics sector:

"I would like to highlight the creation of a free economic zone at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, the creation of a logistics hub at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, state support for the logistics sector, the attraction of foreign investments for project financing, and the potential of human resources. In 2021, 1.2 billion euros were invested in road infrastructure in Azerbaijan. This was a 60% increase compared to the previous year."
