Iraqi leader asks Azerbaijani President to support inclusion of several monuments in UNESCO list

Baku. 2 July. REPORT.AZ/ Iraqi President Fuad Masum has sent a letter to his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev asking him to support the inclusion of a number of monuments, which are located in Iraq and belong to the Mesopotamian civilization, in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Report informs, Mr. Masum said that the Iraqi government has appealed to UNESCO for the inclusion of seven archeological sites located in the country in the list of World Heritage Site.
In his letter, the Iraqi President also hailed Azerbaijan`s role in protecting world cultural heritage.
