Georgian political scientist: Peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia contributes to development of global security system

A peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia will contribute to the development of the global security system, Georgian military-political expert Vakhtang Maisaya told the local bureau of Report.

He noted that Azerbaijan and Armenia would sign a peace treaty in February or early March of this year.

“Significant progress has been made in the process of signing a peace treaty. This agreement is not only important for the security of the region, but will also contribute to the development of the global security system,” Maisaya noted.

According to the political scientist, Azerbaijan is demonstrating the use of new “smart” power.

“In this context, both prudence and, if necessary, force are used. President Ilham Aliyev plays a key role in normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the expert added.
