Fahrettin Altun: Turkiye expects France to support its efforts on Karabakh

Ankara expects France to support Turkiye's efforts on Karabakh, Presidential Spokesperson - President of the Directorate of Communications, Fahrettin Altun, said at a panel held in Ankara on Turkiye-France relations, Report's Ankara bureau informs.

"I want to express with all clarity that according to international law, Karabakh is the territory of Azerbaijan. It is in everyone's interest that the Karabakh problem does not turn into a new conflict. It is crucial for global peace, including the region's countries," he said.

Altun said that the acceptance of Azerbaijan's victory and support for its policy by all the countries playing a role in this issue is an important factor:

"We expect France to support Turkiye's efforts in this matter."
