An emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Turkic States on the latest events in Kazakhstan has ended, Report informs.
Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Jeyhun Bayramov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Ruslan Kazakbayev Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz Kamilov, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Rashid Meredov, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States made speeches at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, a statement was adopted on behalf of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
The statement expressed condolences to the victims of the events in Kazakhstan and wished speedy recovery to the injured. The strong support and solidarity to Kazakhstan, a member of the organization, and its brotherly people has been reaffirmed. The statement stressed the importance of peace and stability in Kazakhstan, which is vital for stability and security in the region and beyond. Violence and vandalism that endangered human life, disturbed public order and damaged property were condemned. The document expressed confidence in the ability of the Kazakh government to quickly restore public order and normalization of the situation in the country.
The importance of adhering to the fundamental rules and principles of international law and supporting the anti-terrorist operations of the Kazakh government against terrorists, extremists and criminals aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order was stressed. At the same time, it was noted that the document " Turkic World Vision - 2040" is a guide for coordination, cooperation and mutual assistance in the face of national and international challenges. The organization reaffirmed its readiness to support the people and government of Kazakhstan to overcome the current crisis if needed. The document also supported the reforms by the President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at further improving the livelihood and welfare of the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.
The Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States has decided to continue close cooperation and consultations on this issue.

The crisis in Kazakhstan is the key topic of the meeting chaired by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
The participants in the event first observed a moment's silence in memory of those killed in the riots in Kazakhstan.
