A letter from Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the UK, Elin Suleymanov, addressed to the Economist magazine has been published, expressing protest against Wendell Steavenson’s article in the online publication “1843,” Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UK.
It was noted that, despite the author’s own admission that in the 1990s hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis found themselves in the position of internally displaced persons, the illegal occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia should have been clearly explained by him.
The letter emphasizes that Azerbaijan and Armenia have already left the conflict behind and have taken historic steps in the name of lasting peace.
