The Middle Corridor is a permanent and indispensable agenda item of the Organization of Turkic States, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Binali Yildirim, wrote on X, Report informs.
Yildirim underscored the significance of evolving the Middle Corridor into a robust international transport route that bridges the western and eastern regions. He pointed out the strategic importance of the corridor, which was accentuated by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, noting its critical role for global, particularly European, logistics.
Further, Yıldırım acknowledged the Turkic states’s role in fostering brotherly ties, building trust among leaders, and enhancing inter-institutional cooperation. He regarded these developments as substantial achievements.
The Chairman also remarked on the positive impact of OTS harmony and stability on the broader regional equilibrium. He expressed confidence that the Turkic states would be minimally affected by the major powers’ rivalry in Eurasia.
Yildirim believes that the region is poised to become a pivotal player in global commerce and energy distribution. To realize this potential, he advocates for intensified efforts and reinforced cooperation within the OTS framework.
