Azerbaijani President will attend Eastern Partnership Summit in Brussels

Baku. 5 October. REPORT.AZ/ "I would like to express gratitude for the invitation to attend the Eastern Partnership Summit. I received this invitation from President Tusk in February and stated that I will definitely attend this meeting".

Report informs, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the meeting with the delegation led by Chairman of the European Union Council for Political and Security Affairs, Walter Stevens on October 4.

Head of the state noted that it is very important to attend the meeting: "Azerbaijan has supported the Eastern Partnership Program from the very beginning. I personally attended the First Eastern Partnership Summit and all these summits, excluding the latter. You probably know the reason for not being there. Now there is no reason to abandon this important meeting".

Notably, the fifth summit of the Eastern Partnership will be held in Brussels, November 24.
