Spain's coach commends WMF World Cup setup after opening win in Baku

Spain’s national minifootball head coach, Asenjo Francisco Fernandes, had high praise for the organization of the WMF World Cup in Baku, calling it “ideal” after his side’s dominant 3–0 victory over Ghana in their Group H opener.

Speaking to Report, Fernandes lauded everything from the facilities to the volunteers:

“The organization is perfect—we’re very pleased. The pitch is fantastic, and the volunteers are incredibly helpful. Everything has been handled excellently.”

Spain’s coach also reflected on his team’s strong start to the tournament:

“The most important thing is we won our first game. That gives the team a real confidence boost. I can say that we played well overall, and now we’ll shift focus to the next match.”
