Europe's major stock indices rose sharply on Friday as investors took optimism on the European Central Bank's (ECB) signal that it would end its rate hike cycle.
According to Report, this follows from the trading data.
The British FTSE 100 index rose by 0.63%, to 7,721.57 points, the French CAC 40 rose by 1.36%, to 7,408.11 points, the German DAX rose by 0.92%, to 15,952.75 points .
On Thursday, the ECB announced a decision according to which the regulator raised the rate by 0.25 percentage points, which became a new historical high. At the same time, the statement that this level of the refinancing rate will help bring inflation to the target level was perceived as a signal that there will be no new records.
