Ermek Majekenov: KASE ready to offer market instruments for Azerbaijan

The issue of expanding the product range directly related to Azerbaijani issuers is currently at the analysis stage at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in terms of investor demand, compliance with regulatory standards, and the level of preparedness of issuers, Ermek Majekenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KASE, told Report.

"Currently, such instruments are limited on the KASE platform. The issue of expanding the product range is being explored in terms of investor interest, compliance with regulatory standards, and issuer readiness. If there is sustained interest from issuers and investors, our infrastructure is technically ready to introduce appropriate instruments," Majekenov noted.

He also stated that promising areas of cooperation between the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange and the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) are currently being explored.

According to him, establishing partnership relations with Azerbaijani financial institutions, including the BSE, is considered one of the development directions of international cooperation for KASE.

"We are carefully exploring opportunities for experience exchange and technological synergy. At the same time, it is important for us that all initiatives comply with market efficiency principles and regulatory requirements," Majekenov highlighted.

The deputy chairman, noting that regular expert dialogue is conducted between KASE and Azerbaijani financial institutions, mentioned that the issue of signing a memorandum of understanding and other agreements is on the agenda of bilateral meetings and is discussed within the framework of developing cooperation.

He further mentioned that organizing joint events such as road shows, investment forums, and educational initiatives is considered a promising direction for deepening cooperation with the BSE.
