Elman Rustamov: Real exchange rate of manat fell 1.2% during six months

"We are following our foreign competitiveness with our trade partners. Real exchange rate of manat fell 1.2% during six months," Elman Rustamov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said at the meeting under President Ilham Aliyev on socio-economic field.
According to him, generally, the exchange rate of manat is stable: "Positive foreign balance, works for export diversification and extension, positive expectations from market created a significant surplus in the domestic currency market. Totally, surplus in the domestic currency market, together with CBA’s sterilization, is more than $1 billion. This guarantees manat’s stability."
