ECB keeps base lending rate at zero

The European Central Bank (ECB) has kept the base interest rate on loans at zero. The deposit rate also remained at the same level - minus 0.5%, the rate on short-term ECB loans - at 0.25%.
The decision was made following the meeting of the ECB Governing Council, Report informs.
However, the ECB intends to raise key interest rates in September.
