Direct investment to non-oil sector in Azerbaijan declined by 4%

Baku. 14 June. REPORT.AZ/ The total amount of foreign investments in the form of direct investments amounted to $1 017.8 million, in the first quarter of this year.
Report informs referring to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the share of oil and gas sector in the structure of direct investments to the country economy amounted to 81.6%.
In January-March 2018, the increase of net financial obligations of the direct investment item on the oil and gas sector in the balance of payments is formed from the difference between the investment and repatriation of capital. According to the estimates, the total amount of direct investments involved to non-oil sector was $ 186.8 million. This is 3.7% less than in the same period last year.
