Crypto-currency office established in Venezuela

Baku. 9 December.REPORT.AZ/ President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro announced the creation of the country office for crypto-currency, Report informs referring to the Kommersant.
On the decree of him, the office will be chaired by lawyer Carlos Vargas.
Maduro said the idea belonged to Hugo Chávez who supported creation of “financial tool which will become ground for economic growth of the country in 2018”.
President Maduro announced the creation of Venezuelan crypto-currency called El Petro on December 4.
The Venezuelan government believes that this measure will help to overcome the social-economic crisis in the country.
