CBA may tighten its monetary policy

Baku. 28 December. REPORT.AZ/ The interest policy will be pursued depending on the inflation target, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan said in a statement.

According to the statement, the decision on the collar parameters will be made with respect to the macroeconomic processes in the country, cyclical movements of indicators, recent outlooks and shifts in balance of risks.

The Cental Bank may tighten its monetary policy in case the inflation risks intensify. All the same, the bank will continue its measures towards stabilization of the inflation expectations.

The Central Bank plans to revise its monetary policy eight times in 2019. Its decisions will be announced on February 1, March 15, April 26, June 7, July 26, September 13, October 25 and December 13. The meeting with media representatives are scheduled for February, April, July and October.
