Azerbaijan spent over $1.1B for reconstruction of Karabakh in 1H24

The Azerbaijani government allocated 1.953 billion manats (over $1.149 billion) for the reconstruction and restoration of the liberated territories in the first half of 2024, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry.
This amount represents 51.1% of the total funds allocated for this purpose in the 2024 state budget, which was 3.825 billion manats (approximately $2.25 billion).
Additionally, just under 1.065 billion manats (over $626.4 million) were invested following orders from project executors. This accounts for 42.9% of the expenses intended for this purpose in the current year and represents a 40.4% increase compared to the same period last year.
