Azerbaijan's securities market surges 73%

Operations worth AZN 8,520.6 million were conducted in the securities market of Azerbaijan from January through June, up 73.3% from the same period last year.
Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that AZN 4,813.5 million was formed in the primary market (a growth of 77.6%) and AZN 3,707.1 million in the secondary market, an increase of 68%.
5,914 deals were concluded in the securities market through the reporting period, a 2.5-fold increase year-on-year. Of them, 1,078 deals were in the primary market (a 2.5-fold growth) and 4,836 in the secondary market (a 2.5-gold growth).
