Azerbaijan repays over $0.6B of debt in 2023

In 2023, the implementation of expenses associated with servicing public debt and obligations in the state budget of Azerbaijan was 1,031.9 million manats ($0.61 billion), or 150.6 million ($88.6 million) manats (12.7%), less than the forecast of 1,182.5 million manats ($695.6 million), Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.
772.3 million manats ($454.3 million) of those funds were spent on external public debt (254.8 million manats ($149.9 million)—principal debt, and 517.5 million manats ($304.4 million)—interest debt), and 259.6 million manats ($152.7 million) were interest debt on domestic state debt.
