Azerbaijan posts high growth in number of sectors of economy

2024 started with high indicators in the economy of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Economy said, Report informs.

According to the information, in January of this year, the gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 5% compared to the same period last year, including non-oil and gas GDP by 12.3%.

The increase in added value was 66.9% in the construction sector, 26.8% in transport and warehouse, 16.8% in the non-oil and gas processing industry, 12.1% in tourism and catering, and 11.8% in information and communication. High investment activity was recorded in the country's economy.

Over the past year, investment in fixed capital increased by 37.4%, including investment in the non-oil and gas sector by 34.1%, which is an important factor contributing to economic growth.
