Azerbaijan attracted $1.5B in foreign direct investment in 1Q2025

In the first quarter of 2025, foreign direct investment in Azerbaijan amounted to $1.5 billion, Samir Nasirov, director of the Statistics Department of the Central Bank, said at a press conference, Report informs.
According to Nasirov, the top 5 in terms of investments in the country are the United Kingdom ($405.8 million), Türkiye ($300.9 million), South Cyprus ($181 million), the United Arab Emirates ($100.4 million), and Iran ($90.1 million).
"During the specified period, Azerbaijan's direct investment abroad amounted to $615 million. In this regard, the leading countries were Türkiye ($92.6 million), the UK ($27.8 million), Spain ($20.9 million) and Russia ($18.4 million)," the CBA official said.
