Average monthly salary in Azerbaijan up by 9%

In January-May 2025, the average monthly nominal wage of salaried employees in the Azerbaijani economy increased by 9.1% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 1,095 manats ($644.12), Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
The average monthly nominal wage was higher in the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, information and communication, professional, scientific and technical activities, as well as transportation and warehousing sectors of the economy.
As of June 1, the number of salaried employees in the country's economy was 1,769,200, of which 873,000 people worked in the public sector of the economy, and 896,200 people in the private sector.
