Assets of Azerbaijan-based banks grow 12%

Baku. 26 October. REPORT.AZ/ As of October 1, 2018, Azerbaijan-based bank’s assets stood at AZN 29,201,800,000, up 11.6% from the previous year, Report informs citing the Financial Markets Supervisory Authority.

Of this, AZN 1,252,900,000 or 35.1% were the loans issued to customers. The loan portfolio diminished by 0.3%.

Liabilities rose by 8.4% to AZN 25,089,000,000, as well as deposit portfolio grew by 18.8% to AZN 18,249,300,000, of which AZN 8,114,900,0 belonged to individuals, AZN 10,134,400,000 – to legal entities. Population’s deposit increased by 15.9%, companies’ deposits – by 21.1%.

Liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan dropped by 28.3% to AZN 409.3 million.

Total capital ascended by 36.25% to AZN 4,112,800,000.
