ADB appoints new country director for Azerbaijan

A new country director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for Azerbaijan has been appointed.
According to Report, Sunnia Durrani-Jamal has become the head of the representative office in Azerbaijan.
Today, she officially assumed her duties at the ADB's permanent mission in Azerbaijan, replacing Candice McDeigan, who had held this position since 2021.
Sunnia Durrani-Jamal boasts over 25 years of professional experience, 16 of which she spent at ADB, mainly in leadership positions. She served as ADB's Regional Director in Cambodia, Senior Advisor to the Vice President for East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific Region, and Chief Economist.
