From January through July 2021, Ukraine purchased oil from Azerbaijan for $266.97 million, including imported crude for $59.55 million in July, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.
In the reporting period, Ukraine generally reduced imports of oil and oil crude by 28.5 percent (by 246,870 tons) compared to the same period in 2020 - to 618,020 tons.
For the seven months, oil was imported for $267.35 million, which is 5.6 percent less than in January-July 2020 ($283.262 million). The countries from where oil was imported included Azerbaijan - for $266.97 million, Latvia - for $0.39 million. Accordingly, 99.9 percent of the oil imported by Ukraine accounted for Azerbaijan.
In addition, during the reporting period, Ukraine exported 89,963 tons of oil to Romania for $27.13 million. This volume was shipped in March by the international trader Trafigura. The oil was purchased from Ukrtransnafta JSC, which in turn bought it in the spring of 2020 amid a decline in prices for the subsequent resale.
In January-July last year, Ukraine didn’t export oil.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine in January-June 2021 reduced imports of oil and crude oil by 34.6 percent (by 267,820 tons) compared to the same period in 2020 - to 505,690 tons.
