Rovshan Najaf: Shusha - ideal place to discuss green energy issues

Shusha is an ideal place 'to discuss issues of green energy with our partners and find new projects and solutions for joint work,' SOCAR's Acting President Rovshan Najaf told the final session of the energy week in Shusha.

Report quotes the official as saying Azerbaijan was the first in the region to develop traditional energy sources, and now the company can become the first to develop nontraditional renewable sources of energy.

"Nevertheless, we should not forget traditional energy sources in the middle and short-term perspectives in the period of transition since they will still be in demand. SOCAR is an important player in the region's energy market," he said.
