Gas production in Azerbaijan up by 5%

According to operational data for January-August 2023, Azerbaijan produced 32.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 5%, or 1.5 billion cubic meters, from the previous year, Report informs, citing operational data of the Ministry of Energy for 8 months.
8.6 bcm of gas production was extracted from ACG (-0.4 bcm, or 4.4%), while 17.6 bcm from Shah Deniz (1.2 bcm, or 7.3%) and 0.2 bcm from Absheron. SOCAR produced 5.8 bcm (+0.6 bcm, or 11.5%) gas during this period.
Gas was transported with an increase of 1.5 bcm, namely 5% compared to the relevant period of last year.
