Azerbaijan, Qatar negotiating on construction of power plant

Azerbaijan is currently negotiating with the Qatari company Nebras Power on various energy projects, including a power plant project to be built in Yashma, Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov said at an event dedicated to the National Day of Qatar, Report informs.

According to him, the main goal is to ensure the development of the renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan, and from this point of view, there are new opportunities for cooperation with Nebras Power.

Shahbazov noted that now is the right time to establish energy cooperation within the framework of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries:

“The development of the liberated territories through their transformation into a green energy zone, as well as the achievement of green growth and a clean environment creates opportunities for cooperation.”
