Polling stations open in Azerbaijan for municipal elections

Polling stations have opened in Azerbaijan for municipal elections, Report informs.
The voting will continue until 7 p.m. (GMT+4). The elections are being held at 5,846 polling stations covering 118 electoral districts.
As many as 16,092 candidates are competing for 8,071 seats in 685 municipalities.
According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), 5,961,987 voters are eligible to participate in the elections.
January 29 has been declared a non-working day in Azerbaijan due to the elections.
