During the official opening ceremony of the "Youth for Green World" 5th Summer Camp of Diaspora Youth in Lachin, Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Department for Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora Issues, Multiculturalism and Religion of Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration, emphasized the importance of preserving the Azerbaijani language among the youth, according to Report.
"The future of our existence depends on Azerbaijan's youth. It would be commendable for our young people to converse in their native language rather than English," she stated.
Aliyeva highlighted the crucial role of youth in realizing the highest ideals and driving progress in all countries.
She acknowledged the fact that many Azerbaijani youth live and study abroad, but stressed the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by Azerbaijani soldiers who gave up their right to life for the sake of their homeland.
"You must know these facts and pass them on to future generations," she urged.
The official proudly noted that being a citizen of a victorious country is an honor and that Azerbaijan's future is entrusted to its youth.
She also emphasized the significance of the Day of the Azerbaijani Alphabet and Azerbaijani Language, celebrated the previous day.
"The Azerbaijani language is our precious heritage. When you, the youth, know it, you become more closely connected to one another," Aliyeva added.
The "Youth for Green World" summer camp, now in its 5th edition, brings together diaspora youth in Lachin, a region recently liberated from Armenian occupation following the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war. The camp aims to foster a sense of unity and pride among Azerbaijani youth while promoting environmental awareness and sustainability.
