The decolonization-related activities of the Baku Initiative Group (BIG) have led to positive results regarding New Caledonia and French Polynesia, BIG Executive Director Abbas Abbasov said during his speech at the organization's report presentation dedicated to the December 14 decolonization day, Report informs.
Abbasov noted that some tried to blame BIG over the recent events in New Caledonia:
"We didn't allow this to happen. Along with this, many other regions have also entered an active phase in their fight against colonization. I believe that in the coming years, one of the small island nations will achieve independence."
