Azerbaijan is set to launch an innovative competition for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) tomorrow. According to Report, the contest, titled "International Initiatives Related to COP29," is a joint effort by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and the Agency for State Support to NGOs.
Aygun Aliyeva, the executive director of the agency, announced the exciting news during a dedicated briefing. She emphasized that all submitted projects must focus on the critical issue of global climate change.
Aliyeva outlined the unique structure of the competition, stating, "NGOs can only participate in the grant competition as part of a coalition. After passing an initial technical review, projects will be assessed based on specific criteria using a 100-point system."
