Ilham Aliyev invites his Gambian counterpart to COP29

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has invited Gambian President Adama Barrow to the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will be held in Baku in November, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Morocco Nazim Samadov wrote on X, Report informs.

“Today I had the honor to transmit to HEMs Saffie Lowe Ceesay, Ambassador of the Republic of the Gambia to the Kingdom of Morocco, the copy of the invitation letter from HEM Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to HEM Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, to participate in the World Leaders Climate Action Summit to mark the launch of COP29 in November 2024,” Samadov wrote.
