Preparations for next Azerbaijan-Hungary joint commission meeting discussed

The 11th meeting of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Hungary will be held in Budapest in September 2025, Report informs.

This was highlighted during the meeting of the Azerbaijani Minister of Finance, Co-chair of the Commission Sahil Babayev with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Azerbaijan Tamás József Torma.

During the meeting, the sides discussed preparation issues for the commission's next meeting.

Babayev expressed confidence that the next meeting of the commission would be productive in terms of the current state and development prospects of bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary, especially in expanding the two countries' trade, business and investment, energy, labor, employment and social protection, science and education, healthcare, culture, tourism, food security, urban planning, water resources management, diaspora and other spheres.

The ambassador in turn, emphasized Hungary's strategic partnership based on friendly relations with Azerbaijan, noting that relations between the countries are constantly expanding.

At the meeting, the parties stated that relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary are successfully developing in all areas. In this regard, the contribution of the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation to deepening cooperation between the countries was noted.

At the same time, they expressed satisfaction with the mutual support of the two countries within the framework of international organizations and events.
