Kashi-Central Asia and South Asia Commodity Fair opens in China

On August 15, the Kashi - Central and South Asia Commodity Fair, better known as the Kashgar Fair, has opened in Kashgar (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China), Report informs.
The 15th fair is held under the motto: "Connectivity, mutual assistance, mutual benefit. Consultation, collaboration and shared prosperity."
The honorary guest countries this year were Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The event was organized by the Kashgar Prefecture Administration of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and is a comprehensive exhibition for participants from regions of China, as well as countries of Central and South Asia. Its main mission is to promote the development of economic and trade ties between China and the countries of Central Asia, South Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
This year's event is attended by 181 overseas companies from 40 countries and regions, as well as 1,120 Chinese enterprises. Since its establishment in 2005, the Kashgar Fair has attracted participants from 56 countries and regions, including 38,000 enterprises. The total transaction volume at the fair has exceeded $66 billion. Today, the fair is the largest event in Xinjiang in terms of scale, scope and influence on Central and South Asian countries, as well as a key platform for promoting regional cooperation and strengthening connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The exhibition areas of the fair reflect current development trends, focusing on digital and high technology, aerospace information and renewable energy, as well as unique agricultural and livestock products.
The exhibition includes three key sections: investment cooperation, international and domestic trade, clearly demonstrating Kashgar's achievements in developing "ten priority industries" and the course for deepening external openness.
The fair will include a business program: 10 thematic industry meetings, a major investment forum, two specialized presentations on cooperation with Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as five cultural events.
The fair, which started today, will last until August 17.
