China exported roughly 400,000 used autos in 2024, up 45% from the previous year and a record high, according to an industry group, apparently driven by strong demand for electric vehicles in Russia and Central Asia, Report informs via Nikkei Asia.
Vehicles from Geely's Zeekr luxury EV brand and startup Li Auto are among the popular Chinese exports. Both brands carry models in a lower price range at around 200,000 yuan ($27,275) in China and have unique on-board entertainment features. With sales of new Chinese autos rising overseas, popularity is also growing for used vehicles that are cheaper.
