Azerbaijan resumes tea imports from Latvia

In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan imported 12,000 tons of black tea worth $62.81 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This is 9% higher in value and 8% higher in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported tea from:
- Sri Lanka: 8,375 tons (-0.7%) worth $47.483 million (+7.4%);
- Russia: 1,335 tons (+31%) worth $7.63 million (+25%);
- India: 1,658 tons (+52%) worth $5.35 million (+25%);
- Kenya: 330 tons (+25%) worth $991,000 (-26%);
- Iran: 202 tons (+2.8-fold) worth $636,000 (+48%).
Azerbaijan has resumed supplies from Latvia (0.02 tons worth $100) after a 10-year and 7-month break.
