Azerbaijan resumes import of elevators from three countries

Azerbaijan imported 1,342 elevators and skip loaders worth $23.2 million last year, down 2.5%, while up 4.3%, respectively, from 2022, Report informs, citing the Statistical Committee.

In 2023, Azerbaijan bought 989 units (+24%) of elevators from China worth $18.3 million (+27%), 229 units (-48%) from Türkiye worth $2.5 million (-35%), 17 units (-53%) from Thailand worth $750,000 (-47%), 25 units (-20%) from Slovakia worth $708,000 (-36%), and 11 units (-35%) from Korea worth $362,000 (-20%).

After a hiatus of 4.8 years, Azerbaijan has resumed imports of elevators and skip loaders from Japan, acquiring 2 units worth $33,200. Additionally, after a 3.3-year break, they have sourced 8 units worth $37,000 from Bulgaria, and following a 1.9-year gap, Azerbaijan has procured 4 units worth $88,100 from Austria.
