Azerbaijan resumes imports of car tires from Sweden and Switzerland

In 2023, Azerbaijan imported 1,977,174 units of new rubber tires (for cars, trucks, and buses) worth $99.4 million, up 15% and 18%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 1,371,398 (+31%) tires from China for $67.7 million (+38%), 194,529 units (-26%) from Türkiye for $11.83 million (-14%), 125,250 units (+33%) from Korea for $5.1 million (+29%), 134,000 units (+19%) from Russia for $4.73 million (-16%), and 21,924 units (+21%) from Japan for $2.2 million (+9%).

Azerbaijan resumed the supply of rubber tires from Switzerland (76 units worth $13,550) after 5 years and 4 months and from Sweden (16 units worth $2,840) after 1 year and 8 months.

Azerbaijan imported 1.714 million units of rubber tires from 34 countries in 2022, 61.1% of which came from China.
