Placido Domingo accused of sexually harassing nine women

Eight singers and a dancer said they had been sexually harassed by Opera singer Placido Domingo, Report informs citing the AP.

These cases of harassment have occurred since the 1980s and for more than 30 years.

Seven women claimed that their careers suffered because they rejected the singer. The Agency notes that only one of the nine women would allow her name to be used — Patricia Wulf, sang with Domingo at the Washington Opera.

The 78-year-old singer responded to the accusations by issuing an official statement which reads that he never would intentionally harm, offend, or embarrass anyone. never harm anyone knowingly. “The allegations from these unnamed individuals dating back as many as thirty years are deeply troubling, and as presented, inaccurate” he said.
